These days Tollywood is absorbed with action, comedy and romance subjects only. Either it is a big film or a small budget film, all the films have to be made with in this frame work or they will be rejected by the audiences.
But even then directors like Ramaraju, takes the risk and comes up with a decent film like ‘Mallela Teeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu.’ This is a pure poetic and feel-good film. Whether one likes it or not absolutely there are no commercial elements at all in the film. It is a film from a director with poetic, music senses. It is about a real and natural feel of love.
What is Mallela Theram lo Sirimallepuvvu About ?
The story is about a middle class married woman, who has heart for songs, music, literature and of course dreams for real love in the life. But, she is wed-locked with a money minded husband, who has no such interests. Then she happen to meet a young lyricist of her kind and got close to him in a period of time. They sing and chat for hours and hours loosing themselves into another world. Whether, she will separate from her husband to enter into her dream life with the lyricist or not is the crux of the story.
However, their endless poetic, literary discussions, singing songs and chatting through out the film makes one doubt whether there is any story in the film or their gossips and songs itself is the story. The slow pace of the movie really makes one impatient, if he/she is not that kind of audiences. Though, the concept is simple, performance of the actors is excellent, back ground music enhances the romantic mood, many couldn’t digest the film. Especially, when they are habituated for punch dialogues, skin shows of the hot girls and Sumo smashing by heroes.
Performances
Sri Divya and Kranthi, who played the lead roles in the movie did a good work. Director Ramaraju has simply reflected his poetic and artistic talents. Music Director Pawan Kumar has exactly catches the director’s inner feelings and enhanced them with his matching music.
So, those who have heart for all these things shouldn’t miss this film, others better stick to their own tastes.
